The trailer for “Godzilla v. King Kong” just dropped and I gotta say, I’m excited. The last movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, finally figured it out – give us monsters! While still not as Kaiju heavy as the old Toho films, it was an improvement. It looks like this installment will build on that understanding. Fine, give us a plot, but what we want is Kong punching Zilla in the schnoz! Oh, and we got that in the trailer. It does look like a fun, mindless romp which is just what we need right now.

I could give less than 2.25 fucks about the new Godzilla/King Kong film. I am intrigued in the new Mortal Kombat film. I like the original and I know it’s not that great. The soundtrack is banging and it is the best video game movie to date. But the limited clips I’ve seen from the new one…I have mild-moderate hopes for this one. No trailer to check out yet, it’s part of an HBO Max montage though…
