Kevin Israel’s pick:
“Bite your head off, man.!”
Ghostbusters (1984)
- When the Ghostbusters arrive at a fancy hotel for their first big job, a man waiting for the elevator sees their costumes and asks if they’re cosmonauts. Peter Venkman replies that they’re actually exterminators and someone saw a cockroach on the 12th floor. The man replies, “must be some cockroach.” Dr. Venkman says, “bite your head off, man.”
- Ghostbusters is my favorite movie of all time and it is incredibly quotable, but when I think about quotes that I actually use frequently, this one always jumps to mind. Any time someone expresses surprise at how big or difficult something is, I always say, “bite your head off man.”
Kevin Gootee’s pick:
“Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice-skate uphill.”
Blade 1998
Love using this when someone takes on a harder approach then they should be. This line hit me like a ton of bricks when I saw this in the theater.
