Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. We just covered Dirty Dancing on the podcast and Havana Nights came up. The fact that the greenlit a sequel to the barely passable Dirty Dancing is amazing in itself. I never actually saw HN, but I don’t regret it. Just having to rewatch the original was enough for me. Apparently the second was more of a re-imagining of the original and that sounds pretty terrible too. Clearly this one was a money grab for all the people who flocked to see Swayze shakes what his mama gave him. Since Patrick was the only semi-interesting thing in the original, I’d imagine that HN was as bad as it sounds. Hard pass!

You know what film no one brings up that was solid? Atomic Blonde. GREAT 80’s soundtrack and fight scenes, give it a look. We get Charlize Theron kicking ass and a few topless shots? Sold. She was a solid hit woman and thoroughly loved her story. I daresay I’d see another one of her whipping ass and taking more ice baths…
