If you jumped in car that you HAD to drive and it was stick shift, what would you do? Well, if you’re like 90% of the people in the US, you’d be screwed. Why? Because most people can’t drive manual….sad, I know. BUT, if you were in a movie, no problem-o, everyone in a movie can drive stick…or fly a helicopter. Nope, sorry, THAT DOESN’T HAPPEN!

We just did Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on our podcast and I have a real issue with the freshman saying that Ferris was getting him out of summer school. There was no association with Ferris and that random kid you don’t see or hear from again in the movie. And I don’t recall freshmen getting help from seniors unless the freshmen needed help getting stuffed into a locker or help getting their underwear surgically bonded to their ass crack. THAT DOESN’T HAPPEN!
I don’t drive stick, but have many friends that do and did back then… Also, I was always nice to the freshmen, they pay extra for the help and advise…. plus know who the fun new crop is as well
